Crusader help to Bridge the Gap Situated next to the QEII Bridge and close to the River Thames, The Bridge is the first major regeneration project underway in the Thames Gateway. A 264-acre mixed-use site is being developed which will transform this Brownfield land into a dynamic new community for Dartford.
Along with 1.5 million square feet of business space and 1,500 new homes, The Bridge will include a range of innovative facilities, such as a primary school of the future, and the new Fast track public transport system, to create a lively neighbourhood where people will want to work and bring up their families.
The amount of General correspondence, drawings, plans, letters and materials for the task in han,d runs into 100’s of filing cabinets but if you visit the site you will see that space is of a premium and the offices have very little hard copy filed away.
This is because of the LaserFiche document management system deployed by prime reseller Crusader Technologies.
The following were must haves with any system to be installed:
ü Easy to use and to train staff to use the system
ü Must have capability to search from Index cards and free text retrieval.
ü Must be able to store images and electronic documents in a client file.
ü Must be implemented with the minimum of fuss.
The system was installed and configured with the minimum of interruption from Crusader says Dave Smart Alfred Mcalpine Site Manager. We have 3 scanners working away most of the day and the administrators control the location of documents to the staff onsite.
